This year when I visit Bali, I was just lucky that it's on Melasti Day, which is the days before Quite Day for Balinese Hindu people. On Melasti Day Balinese people purify themselves through a series of prayers. On this picture I captured the people of Kuta, Bali praying together on Kuta Beach.

An enlightening coincidence -
Read a weekend Article in our Local Daily Newspaper, and it was about Bali.. named after a Hindu King... and then saw this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinduism_in_Indonesia...
Thanks for the picture..
Out of curiosity, does Hindus in Bali celebrate Diwali or Deepavali festival? It's going to take place on next Tues, 28th Oct. Just wonder if there'd be many interesting activities taking place there.
JC: HIndus in Bali is quite different with Hindus in India or any other countries. They don't celebrate Deepavali.
Yogesh: Interesting information. I myself just know if Bali named after a Hindu King. Thanks for the info.
