The largest shrine in Bali is Besakih, as in above picture. It is located in the previous Karangasem Kingdom, the first Kingdom in Bali. This shrine was the place where the royalty family praised God. The size and the interior of this shrine is so beautiful. Unluckily the guides and traders there are really annoying.

It looks magnificent and very impressive. I hope that you can take us inside one of these days.
The guides and hawkers are so typical in many touristy places. I can understand your annoyance.
It is such an ornate building.
i've heard it's really beautiful there but i haven't been yet. maybe in july. :) Fran
Hi Fran. It's truly beautiful. You just need to be careful with the guides and hawker. Looks like you like Bali already :)
Hilda: it might be nice if one day we can go there with some other blogger to go there together. Could it be possible?
Babooshka: It is. Thanks for your kind visit.
Excellent scene. Very historic and intricately built buildings.
